Mac and Devin Go to High School

Anchor Bay Films has officially picked up the rights to Snoop & Wiz’ movie Mac and Devin Go to High School! The deal includes rights for U.S., Australia and New Zealand and excludes subscription VOD.

Directed by Dylan Brown, the movie sees Khalifa as an academic overachiever struggling to write his valedictorian speech because he realizes he has little life experience. Snoop, meanwhile, is a senior now going on his 15th year of high school who has a thing for the new substitute teacher. The two find inspiration in each other and team to achieve their respective goals.

The movie also co-stars Mike Epps, Andy Milonakis and Affion Crockett and features voice-over by rapper Mystikal, as well as a cameo appearance by the pop group Far East Movement.
It’s worth noting that the deal follows the release of the Mac and Devin soundtrack in December. The movie and the soundtrack include the hit Snoop-Khalifa collaboration “Young, Wild and Free.”
